We love partying and having a good time, but there are times when we are not in a celebrating mood. Behind our fake smiles is a broken and hurt person. Instead of feeding on our misery, we can rely on God and His strength to help us get through our bad situation.

We may feel as if we cannot celebrate, but that is a wrong feeling. We can celebrate who God is and what He has done in our lives. We can go a step further by celebrating what He will do. He has the power to bring good from our bad — now that is worth celebrating!

To celebrate in the world might sound good, but it is a false celebration with no guarantees. When we celebrate Christ and what He has to power to do, we can have a true celebration which is guaranteed with His love.

We could be so upset that our lives have been turned upside-down by the world that we think we will never celebrate again. When we are overwhelmed by a situation, we can think this positive thought: Christ loved us enough to turn us right-side-up so we can see Him. We can truly “Rejoice in the Lord.”
