A Glasgow teenager suffered multiple injuries in a one-vehicle wreck Monday on Finney Road.
Joseph Priddy, 18, of Peninsula Road, was flown from the scene by STAT Care to the University of Louisville Hospital, according to the Barren County Sheriff’s Department. He was listed in critical condition Tuesday morning.
Priddy was northbound on Finney Road in a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am when he lost control, went off the road, struck a tree and overturned, authorities said.
Wanda Clement, who lives on Finney Road, was working on her front porch when the accident happened shortly before 11:30 a.m.
“All of a sudden, I heard this crash (and) boom,” she said.
Clement said she called 911 and prayed for the young man involved.
“I was just so nervous, not knowing what happened,” she said.
Deputy Kevin Wilson investigated and was assisted by Special Deputy Shannon White, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Barren-Metcalfe County EMS and the Haywood and South Barren volunteer fire departments.
