It’s hot outside and the ice cream will be cold — that’s a guarantee, according to the Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce.
Residents can have ice cream with the local chamber at the fourth annual Ice Cream Social on Thursday, Aug. 2, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce office at 118 East Public Square in downtown Glasgow.
Offering ice cream sundaes, Coke floats and banana splits, this free event is open to the public and is the chamber’s way of saying “thank you” to its members and friends for their contributions to the growth and well-being of the community.
Members of the chamber’s Ambassadors Club will be on hand to prepare the ice cream treats.
