Candy Wethington was in charge of our devotional last week. Her theme, “One makes all the difference in the world.” She based her devotional on Romans 12:11. Beverly White is in charge of this week’s devotional.

Guests last week included Brook Norman, Emily Kinslow, Maria Norman, Rebecca Kinslow, guests of the club, and Deidre Comrie guest of Juan Gutierrez. Our visiting Rotarian was Grace Dunnigan, from the Horse Cave Club.

John Rogers, chair of the scholarship committee introduced Emily Kinslow, recipient of the Stanley Zimmerman Scholarship. Emily plans to go to WKU, study aboard and become an engineer.

Our speaker last week was Ernie Wagner from Rolling Thunder. He gave a history of the Veterans Motorcycle Organization and what they do. When you see a POW flag on a flagpole it’s a reminder “never to forget our veterans who did not come home after servicing their country. As Ernie said, “We will never forget them!” Rolling Thunder is there to support the families of vets and always there for those who have made the supreme sacrifice to their country.

Rolling Thunder also goes to Washington each year to remind our congressmen of our Missing in Action men and women and perform services at the War memorials. Locally, they helped put the American Flag on the graves of Veterans.

A great program introduced by Jeff Jobe.

Finally talking about motorcycles, I leave you with an old Dave Gardner modified joke.

Two guys were roaring down the road on a motorcycle when the driver slowed up and pulled over. His leather jacket had a broken zipper, and he told his friend, “I can’t drive anymore with the air hitting me in the chest like that.” “Just put the jacket on backwards.” His friend advised. They continued down the road but around the next bend, they lost control and wiped out. A nearby farmer came upon the accident and ran to call the police. They asked him, “Are they showing any signs of life?” “Well,” the farmer explained, “the driver was until I turned his head around the right way!”
