Jennifer Moonsong has been with the Plaza Theatre for more than a year, working on a contract basis, handling the theater’s public relations and marketing efforts.
On Jan. 1, Moonsong was hired as a city employee.
“Jennifer was originally working as a contract employee doing marketing and promotions. We recently decided to move her to employee status,” said Mayor Rhonda Trautman. “Her job title of marketing and promotions director and duties have not changed.”
Moonsong continues to carry out the same duties.
“I do what I’ve always basically done. I just get paid twice a month instead of once a month and they take out taxes,” Moonsong said.
Her salary remains the same, with the exception of receiving health benefits.
She began at the theater in October 2011.
“I like it,” she said. “It’s definitely been great working with the theater.”
