Glasgow Youth and Children’s Theater presented the first of two performances of playwright Brian Friel’s play, “Lovers,” Tuesday night at George J’s on the Square in downtown Glasgow as a dinner theater.
Set in Ireland, the play is about young love.
The main characters, Joseph Michael Brennan and Margaret Mary Enright marry after learning Margaret or Mag is pregnant.
The audience is invited to share an afternoon with the young couple as they study for their exams and talk about their lives.
The play is directed by Eddy Sakowicz, who developed an appreciation for Friel as a writer.
