The Derry Boys' and Girls' Clubs' Wrestling Rebels traveled to Bow on Dec. 28 to compete in the Manchester YMCA Holiday Tournament. Ten Rebels placed in the tournament. Drew Chase, Shayne McCann, Brenden Sullivan and Tony Messina won silver medals. Joey Lydick and Kyle McCann took home bronze medals. Ryan Kittery, Seamus Dolan, Kyle Milovanovic and Eric Daigle registered fourth place finishes.
Andrew Lydick, Jake Hudgins, Will Young and Nick Messina wrestled well while representing the Rebels.
Pinkerton B Team has successful day at Winnisquam Invitational Wrestling Tourney
On Dec. 27, Pinkerton Academy's "B" wrestling squad traveled to Tilton to compete in the Winnisquam Invitational Tournament. The Astros had a tremendous showing, finishing third out of 17 teams. Hollis Brookline finished first and Merrimack took second, beating out Pinkerton by a single point.
Eight Pinkerton wrestlers placed in the tournament. Alex Gerhold, Zach Daigle and Jake Loder grabbed gold medals. Josh Kaake and Matt Morin won bronze medals. Andrew Daigle, Bill Dalrymple and Dylan Woodland registered fourth place finishes.
