On Feb. 28, the South Central Kentucky Business Expo will open its doors for the second time to welcome businesses as well as individuals for an opportunity to network and create new business relationships.
The Expo will be open to the public at free admission from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cave City Convention Center.
A ribbon cutting ceremony and featured speaker presentation will kick off at 12 p.m. T.J. Samson Community Hospital is the title sponsor of this event.
This endeavor was initially created to make an indirect impact on the regional economy. By inviting all types of businesses throughout south central Kentucky to become exhibitors, the main objective has been to create an environment that allows these businesses, as well as the general public to interact with each other.
“We get so busy throughout the year that we often don’t find the time to nurture existing relationships as well as engage in new business. This is the perfect opportunity to take time out to make those contacts, all under one roof,” said Jim Lee, incoming President of the Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce.
One of the main attractions this year will be featured speaker Bill Samuels Jr., current Chairman Emeritus of the world renowned Maker’s Mark brand. Certainly a recognizable name throughout the commonwealth of Kentucky, Samuels led the bourbon distillery for many years. His expertise and passion for marketing and branding has made Maker’s Mark a staple choice in most establishments.
“Who says you can’t create an international icon brand in south central Kentucky?” said Samuels.
Samuels will be speaking at the Business Expo at 12 p.m. immediately following the Ribbon Cutting kick-off. The speaker is sponsored by Glasgow Coin & Jewelry.
