New market opens Special to the Daily Times CAVE CITY — The National Supermarket kicked off its grand opening with a ribbon cutting on Sept. 12. Following remarks from Mayor Bob Hunt and Cave City Chamber of Commerce president Wandel Strange, three sisters, Laura and Nancy Torres and Maria Gonzalez, co-owners of the National Supermarket shared with those in attendance that they established the store to provide a wide range of services and products to meet the needs of the diverse population of Cave City. The store offers a variety of services: notary public, fax services, (270) 773-2070, money wire service, English to Spanish document translation, staples that include groceries, snacks, cold drinks, candies, tobacco products and more. The store is located at 411 North Dixie Highway, US 31W and is open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information call the National Supermarket at (270) 773-2069.
