Aaron’s rental store will have a grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting Thursday at 3 p.m.
The location officially opened Aug. 22.
Kim Jacobs, manager for the location, said the Aaron’s race car will be there as well.
“Michael Waltrip (NASCAR driver of the car), won’t be there, but the car will be there Friday and Saturday,” Jacobs said.
Jacobs said Aaron’s sells new name brand appliances, televisions, computers and furniture. It also sells Dell, Compaq, HP, Sony, RCA, Phillips, Mitsubishi, Amana, Whirlpool, Maytag, GE and many more appliances and computers.
“Most of our furniture is manufactured at MacTavish, our own U.S. company in Coolidge, Ga.,” she said. “Customers can purchase merchandise by paying retail, 90 days same as cash or leasing for 12, 18 or 24 months.”
The company has more than 1,563 franchises in 48 states and Canada and was founded in 1955 by R. Charles Loudermilk. The company had its 1 millionth customer in the first week of April 2008.
Aaron’s Glasgow location is on Happy Valley Road across from Wal-Mart.
It is open Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
