Library offers business book club

Special to the Daily Times

GLASGOW May 07, 2008 05:30 pm

It is recommended that anyone working in business read at least one “business” book a month as a tool for staying on the cutting edge.
To further that experience, the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library would like to start a Business Book Club to help keep readers motivated and broaden the experience with others’ viewpoints and the possibility of multiple ways of applying its content.
The idea for the group is that readers would select and purchase their own books (or maybe seek a sponsor) and rotate discussion leaders.
Anyone who is interested is asked to contact the library at 651-2824 or at public_ library@glasgow-ky.com.
A Business Book Club is available through DearReader.com, which sends a five-minute read of a first chapter of a book Monday through Friday via e-mail.
Log onto www.weldonpubliclibrary.org and signup for this opportunity.
DearReader.com is sponsored by The Friends of the Library.
