Serenity introducing new cosmetics line Special to the Daily Times Katie Hurt, director of Serenity Salon and Spa along with Aaron Shirley and Melissa Walton-Shirley, co-owner, have returned from New York, bringing with them a new mineral cosmetics line exclusive to Glasgow.
By networking with a Mana corporation representative, they have implemented professional branding capabilities and selected the name “Serene-glo” for their new line. “Branding our own line allowed us to select sleek titanium packaging along with opportunities for seasonal launches and promotions,” said Hurt. “We have chosen a pressed mineral powder foundation vehicle as well as a liquid mineral tint, both of which have a natural SPF of 15 and 20 respectively. The color palettes for blushes and shadows are absolutely beautiful and our products are geared to accommodate all complexions from the most porcelain to women of color, including African American, American Indian, East Indian, Asian and Hispanic women.” Lip plumping products are available as well as eye contouring products and lush mascaras. Natural Hair brushes are also available for application and purchase. “We are offering special occasion and wedding cosmetic application services starting next week,” said Walton-Shirley. Mineral cosmetics are healthy products that are hypoallergenic, sensitivity-tested and reduce the effects of aging by preventing damage from UV light. They are also excellent for calming problem complexions that suffer from acne and rosacea. They are long-lasting and appear freshly applied despite hours of wear. High Tech micro-bubble lipsticks continue to stay bright and glossy as a burst of color is released every time the lips come together. Women love it because there is no caking, streaking or fading.
