Kevin Webb addresses Work Partners Summit
Kevin Webb, of Webb-Taylor Stables, was one of eight individuals from across the nation asked to speak at the Ticket to Work Partners Summit in Louisville last month.
Webb, who has intellectual disabilities, operates the stables with assistance from his mother and stepfather, Glenna and Ronnie Taylor.
He spoke to more than 400 in attendance about his business and getting it off the ground.
“He talked about the process of getting grant funds and building it and how the community came out and supported him,” Glenna Taylor said. “One of the reasons it’s a success is because of the community support.”
Taylor said she was amazed when her son was addressing the conference members, which works to improve self-employment services for those with disabilities.
“This is truly an honor for Kevin,” she said.
