3:29 AFTERNOON UPDATE: Condition of woman in Cumberland Parkway crash

GLASGOW — The Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle crash this morning on the Cumberland Parkway at the Ky. 68/U.S. 80 overpass at approximately 7:05.

Amber M. Parker, 23, of Nicholasville was traveling westbound when she lost control of her 2001 Toyota passenger car. The vehicle traveled across the median, struck a guardrail, and then flipped numerous times into the eastbound lane of traffic where it came to a rest. Parker was flown by helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

BCSO was assisted on the scene by Barren-Metcalfe EMS, Park City and Cave City volunteer fire departments.


Parker is curently in serious but stable condition at UofL hospital.
