Traffic has been detoured from I-65 northbound onto the Cumberland Parkway since early Friday morning.
Interstate 65 northbound is closed near mile marker 44.
A detour has been established and those traveling in the area have an alternate route to take.
Northbound motorists should take exit 43 onto the Louie B. Nunn-Cumberland Parkway, then take exit 15 (the third Glasgow exit) and take a left onto KY 1519 and stay on Veteran’s Outer Loop, then take a right onto KY 90 (Happy Valley Road). Motorists will follow KY 90 until it connects with I-65 in Cave City.
Also, motorists can exit the interstate at Smiths Grove at exit 38, take a left onto KY 101 and follow to U.S 31W. Motorists can get back on I-65 in Park City.
Lane closures are expected to continue for at least two more hours, according to state transportation department district 3 on Twitter.
