8:55 MORNING UPDATE: Name released in Burkesville Road crash

GLASGOW — Two people were injured Sunday morning in a crash on Burkesville Road.

Brandy A. Francis, 35, of Glasgow, was traveling eastbound on Burkesville Road before 10:30 a.m. when she lost control of her 1998 Chrysler van in a curve. The van traveled across the westbound lane, striking a culvert, went airborne over a driveway, then landed on its side in a ditch.

Brandy Francis and a passenger, Keleah Francis, 15, of Glasgow, were transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for non life threatening injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Barren County Sheriff's Office personnel worked the scene and were assisted by East Barren Volunteer Fire Department and Barren-Metcalfe EMS personnel.
