4:00 AFTERNOON UPDATE: Kent Keen is new sheriff

GLASGOW — Kent Keen was sworn in as the new Barren County sheriff Monday immediately following a press conference in which Barren County Judge-Executive Davie Greer announced she was appointing him.

Keen has been working as a school resouce officer for the sheriff's office for more than year after retiring as assistant chief from Glasgow Police Department in September 2011.
