Poul Kudryk with Olympic Construction of Nicholasville installs wall brackets at the new Horse Cave fire station on Tuesday. The fire station is being built by Rex Shippman Inc. of Dexter, Mo. The city of Horse Cave received a $500,000 Community Development Block Grant to help fund the construction of the new fire station, which is on the outskirts of Horse Cave on East Main Street. The total cost of the project is $996,565. Work on the new fire station began in August. Gina Kinslow / Glasgow Daily Times
