0405 Mammoth Cave Budburst Project 1.jpg

Shannon Trimboli, education coordinator for the Mammoth Cave International Center for Science and Learning, a partnership between Mammoth Cave National Park and Western Kentucky University, points out the buds of an Eastern serviceberry tree growing near the national park's visitors center. The Eastern serviceberry is one of 10 plant species Mammoth Cave staff want more information about and are asking for people to take part in Project Budburst so data about the species can be recorded.
