0128 Teamster Strike 3.jpg

Members of Teamsters Local 89 picket Irving Materials Inc. (IMI), a concrete mixing company, on Reynolds Road in Glasgow during the first week of September. In the background is a Glasgow Police Department vehicle. Police Chief Guy Turcotte and other officers worked off-duty security during the labor dispute, which is against Kentucky Revised Statute. Turcotte worked 47 hours of overtime for Frederick Asset Protection, a subcontractor for IMI, according to the chief’s time sheets.
