Traffic going south on Franks Mill Road can legally pull a bit closer to the edge of Veterans Outer Loop now when they stop, which may help improve sight distance past a guard rail along the westbound lanes of the loop, after the Kentucky Department of Highways has moved the white lines marking where vehicles should stop in an effort to improve safety. The darker gray line at left shows where the stop strip was before it was moved. On the northbound lanes of Franks Mill, the strip is a car length closer to the intersection than it had been.
