The Kentucky Department of Highways has placed larger stop signs and moved the white lines marking where vehicles should stop in an effort to improve safety on Franks Mill Road at Veterans Outer Loop. The front edge of the approaching vehicle at left is at the old stop strip location, indicated by the darker gray line, but the new line is at least a car length closer to the intersection and allows the driver to see farther in each direction.
