Glasgow Fire Department Chief Tony Atwood, right, tells an audience that filled the Council Chambers at City Hall on Friday about his experience with Capt. Frank Duckett, who is retiring next week. Two signed on at the department the same day, Feb. 1, 1993, Atwood said. The gathering marked the retirement also of Inspector/Firefighter Brian Eversoll, two promotions, the graduation of three rookies and special presentations for two teams who had saved lives with CPR in the past few months.
