Jason Blakely, a volunteer firefighter and employee of Barren-Metcalfe EMS, practices using a radio signal receiver to listen for a signal that indicates searchers are in the proximity of a transmitter that would typically be worn as a bracelet by someone with a tendency to wander. The exercise Friday was part of a two-day training through Project Lifesaver in which emergency personnel from several local angencies participated.
