ARRESTS
Tuesday, Oct. 6 — At 2:17 a.m., a Bullfinch Drive resident reported someone just tried to break into his home. At 2:41 a.m., Carlos L. Cruz, 18, of 312 Water St. Apt. 24, Lawrence, was arrested and charged with trespassing, possessing a burglarious instrument and attempting to commit a crime.
Wednesday, Oct. 7 — At 5:54 p.m., Colleen E. Smith, 22, of 49 Devco Drive, Manchester, N.H., was arrested and charged with carrying a firearm or ammunition without a FID card.
At 9:35 p.m., Eddie E. Rosa, 22, of 800 Bullfinch Drive, was arrested and charged on a warrant for driving with a suspended registration.
Thursday, Oct. 8 — At 12:09 p.m., Albert L. Mazza Jr., 49, of 65 Fox Garrison Road, Lee, N.H., was arrested and charged on two warrants for failure to pay child support.
Friday, Oct. 9 — At 5:47 a.m., Rebecca Mosey, 25, of 20 Donna Road, Weymouth, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and having a open container of liquor in the car.
At 4:43 p.m., Jose E. Cosme, 32, of 180 Andover Street Apt. 3, was arrested and charged on warrant for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
INCIDENTS
Tuesday, Oct. 6 — At 7:03 p.m., a Holt Road resident reported vandalism to their mailbox.
Wednesday, Oct. 7 — At 12:27 p.m., a warrant was served to a person on Federal Street.
Thursday, Oct. 8 — At 8:15 a.m., an Iron Gate Drive resident reported a person going through recycle bins put out to the curb. The person was informed of Andover's bylaw prohibiting trash picking.
At 6:04 p.m., a Seten Circle resident reported finding a briefcase while mowing the lawn. It was found to belong to a nearby resident.
Friday, Oct. 9 — At 12:12 p.m., police responded to a report of assault at Andover High School, Shawsheen Road.
At 1:06 p.m., a Salem Street resident reported a couple of horses had wandered into his backyard. A responding officer notified the stable where the horses were from. The owner was en route.
At 5:43 p.m., a resident said her son had taken medication not prescribed to him. He was taken to the hospital; it was found that he had stolen the medication from the pharmacy where he works.
Saturday, Oct. 10 — At 2:01 p.m., a Gina Jo Way reported a large snapping turtle in the area. A responding officer moved the turtle to a nearby swamp.
Sunday, Oct. 11 — At 9:22 a.m., vandalism to a mailbox, Sugarbush Lane. At 11:47 a.m. and 12:24 p.m., mailbox vandalism was also reported on Samos Lane.
At 5:05 p.m, an Iron gate Drive resident reported vandalism to his front lawn. At 7:02 p.m., an Iron Gate Drive resident reported mailbox vandalism.
Monday, Oct. 12 — At 10:18 a.m., McDonald's, North Main Street, reported a customer had gone out of control because his coffee order was not correct. A responding officer gave a no trespass order to the customer.
AUTO ACCIDENTS
Wednesday, Oct. 7 — At 2:52 p.m., a hit-and-run crash on Railroad Street.
Thursday, Oct. 8 — At 11:37 a.m., a two car crash on North Main Street, with injuries, a 78-year-old female with a hand laceration. One car was towed.
At 8:04 p.m., a hit-and-run in the Chili's parking lot, River Road.
Sunday, Oct. 11 — At 2:11 p.m., a person reported a past hit-and-run at Zwicker and Associates, Minuteman Road, on Wednesday.
AUTO INCIDENTS
Wednesday, Oct. 7 — At 9:14 a.m., report of an overnight break-in to a rental car, Riverside Drive. A responding officer found evidence of five vehicle break-ins.
Thursday, Oct. 8 — At 6:32 p.m., a motorist on Lowell Street, Route 133, called police to report a road rage incident taking place, where another driver threatened to fight them. A responding officer followed the car to North Andover, where North Andover police pulled the car over on Route 114.
Saturday, Oct. 10 — At 9:49 p.m., a motorist reported being hit with eggs while driving on River Road past Shattuck Road.
Sunday, Oct. 11 — At 8:46 p.m., an officer gave a civil citation on North Street for driving without a license. The car was towed and two people were driven by police to Brookside Drive.
Monday, Oct. 12 — At 5:40 p.m., a Topping Road resident reported a license plate stolen off his car.
BREAKS
Friday, Oct. 9 — At 10:56 a.m., an employee at an Andover Street business reported an overnight break-in and theft of "many computer items," said the police log.
Saturday, Oct. 10 — At 4 p.m., an Elm Street resident reported a breaking and entering to his home.
THEFT
Thursday, Oct. 8 — At 4:39 p.m., a Hemlock Road resident reported identity theft.
Saturday, Oct. 10 — At 6:45 p.m., the Helen Thomas shop, Main Street, shoplifting of a bag of items worth more than $300.
Monday, Oct. 12 — At 8:37 p.m., theft of a large-screen TV from Casco Crossing, River Road.
