BQA training next Monday By GARY TILGHMAN For the Daily Times GLASGOW — Any producer that wants to be certified or recertified in BQA (Beef Quality Assurance) can attend a training, testing, and certification program next Monday night, Nov. 9, at the Barren County Extension Office Auditorium.
The program begins at 7 p.m. and all participants must be at the location BEFORE 7 to receive the training. A $5 check payable to KBN is required to be sent in with the completed tests and applications, so don’t forget to bring a check. Barren County ADC meeting The Barren County Agricultural Development Council will meet on Thursday evening beginning at 7 p.m. The meeting will be at the Barren County Extension Office. Dairy farmers plan District 3 meeting Our local dairy farmers will hold one of several area Kentucky Dairy Producer Meetings here at the Cave City Convention Center on Nov. 12 beginning at 6:30 p.m. according to Larry Mutter, District Director and Terry Rowlett, President of American Dairy Association of Kentucky. The American Dairy Association of Kentucky will hold this District 3 meeting to elect Board members and bring information to dairy farmers that will be useful to them in the coming year. There will be a short promotion report, as well as, dinner and door prizes. Dairy producers are urged to contact their local director, Larry Mutter, or call the ADA of KY office at (800) 928-6455. On behalf of dairy farm families, the non-profit Southeast United Dairy Industry Association, Inc. (SUDIA) works with schools, health professionals, retailers, dairy processors and the public to promote dairy foods. Dairy seminar
